Tragedy, excess and enduring love are all set to an electro beat on Seanario’s debut full length, Resorts, with Las Vegas as the backdrop.

While getting married in Vegas in 2011, Duncan (a bit of an armchair historian) became fascinated with the MGM Grand fire of 1980 which killed 85 people. “I was reading the fire report, which is huge, and I just became obsessed because there are so many stories there,” Duncan says.

For the album, Duncan tried to put himself in the shoes of guests who met their tragic ends in the fire while also capturing the essence of Vegas in the early 1980s. The 15 songs represent a 3-day period, which culminates in the fire. Like those who visit and populate Vegas, the Resorts presents a vast array of characters – from an elderly couple to a dancer with a drug problem.
